Fohr always used white clay. They marked the bases of their items in a number of ways. The most distinctive marking used was when bases were marked “Made in Germany”.

Other items were marked with either just the form and size number (left image) or the form and size number plus W Germany (right image).
 

Some Fohr items can still be found which retain their original labels. the 100 year anniversary label must have been used for a number of years after 1958 because it is found quite frequently.
